Exploration of 1st half of Second series. Ashtanga yoga is a physically demanding practice that creates internal heat and purifies the body.  In the 2nd series of Ashtanga yoga, the focus is on back bends and hip openers, which benefit the spine and open energy channels that let prana flow.
